Premiership Predictions
Premiership Predictions, Correct Score Weekend Football Tips for 19th September 2009
Last weekends premiership predictions went well (again). I got three out of five result predictions right and one score prediction correct (Chelsea's 2-1 win at Stoke) out of those three. The correct results were for Liverpool against Burnley, Aston Villa's win at Birmingham & of course Chelsea's win at Stoke. Not as good as the 100% I had for the previous weekend in terms of Correct results but hey who's complaining. (you at the back stop complaining). This week I have decided to do all ten premiership fixtures for the weekend to see how it goes. So onwards & upwards & hear we go...good luck everyone.
1. Arsenal – Wigan Athletic:
Arsenal have had two bad results on the bounce and need to react quickly if they are to get their season back on track. Their defence is seems to be letting them down. Wigan meanwhile gained a very welcome three points last Saturday against West Ham which was their first since the opening day of the season against Aston Villa. Arsenal to bounce back but their defence will concede a goal.
Result Prediction: Arsenal to win. @ 2/9 with bet365.
Score Prediction: Arsenal 3 Wigan 1 @ 10/1 with bet365.
2. Aston Villa – Portsmouth:
Aston Villa are on a three match winning run while Portsmouth are win-less so far & their defeat at home to Bolton last Saturday was a bad result for them. Villa to win this one easily & put another nail in Portsmouth's coffin.
Result Prediction: Aston Villa to win @ 2/5 with bet365.
Score Prediction: Aston Villa 2 Portsmouth 0 @ 5/1 with Coral
3. Bolton – Stoke City:
Last season Stoke lost this fixture which happened to be the first of the season. Things have changed since then. Stoke have improved and provided evidence of that by staying up with relative ease last season. In the same time period I feel that Bolton have stood still & therefore I feel that stoke will get a result in this game.
Result Prediction: Stoke to win @ 5/2 with Coral
Score Bolton 1 Stoke City 2 @ 7/1 with Coral
4. Burnley – Sunderland:
Both Burnley's victory's this season have come at home. Sunderland are doing well as their 4-1 win against Hull proved last Saturday. This season (so far) Sunderland are winning games that in previous seasons they would have lost. The 2-1 win over Blackburn being an example. Sunderland to win a close game.
Result Prediction: Sunderland to gain their second away win @ 8/5 with PartyBets.com
Score Prediction: Burnley 0 Sunderland 1 @ 6/1 with PartyBets.com
5. Hull City – Birmingham City:
Hull's only win so far came against Bolton at home. Birmingham's was against Portsmouth at home. This game has all the makings of a really bad 0-0 draw. Basically both sides are crap with Hull having a slight advantage but they will be unable to break down Birmingham's defence which is the one strong side to their play.
Result Prediction: A very Boring draw @ 23/10 with Coral
Score Prediction: Hull City 0 Birmingham City 0 @ 8/1 with Coral
6. West Ham – Liverpool:
Liverpool have picked up three wins on the bounce since they lost at home to Aston Villa while West ham are showing classic mid-table form (already). Liverpool to win this one reasonably easily.
Result Prediction: Liverpool to win @ 4/7 with Coral
Score Prediction: West Ham 1 Liverpool 3 @ 10/1 with Coral
7. Chelsea – Tottenham:
This is a difficult one to predict. Spurs had one all their games until they lost at home to Manchester United last week. Chelsea have won all their games so far. Chelsea are my tip for the title & because of that I feel they have to win games like this. A narrow win for Chelsea.
Result Prediction: Chelsea to win @ 4/9 with Coral
Score Prediction: Chelsea 2 Spurs 1 @ 7/1 with Coral
8. Everton – Blackburn Rovers:
Everton and Blackburn have both had a slow start to the season with both teams only recording the one win each. Rovers won their first game of the season last Saturday against wolves while Everton lost again at Fulham 2-1. I can see this one ending in a score draw which will do more for Blackburn's season than Everton's.
Result Prediction: A score draw @ 12/5 with Coral
Score Prediction: Everton 2 Blackburn 2 @ 14/1 with Coral
9. Manchester United – Manchester City:
This is a big one (as Sky will tell you in the build up). Can City carry on their great start to the season or will Manchester United carry on what they have been doing for years and win a key game. I can see City getting a draw in this game & cementing their position in the table as one of the early season pacemakers. At least 90% of their fans at the game will be from Manchseter.
Result Prediction: A score draw @ 11/4 with Coral
Score Prediction: Manchester United 1 Manchester City 1 @ 6/1 with Coral
10. Wolves – Fulham:
Wolves need to win this game & others like it if they are to stay up this season. Their last home game was a very poor 1-1 draw with Hull City. Fulham meanwhile had a very good 2-1 win against Everton last time out. I think Wolves will win this game which should give them some confidence for the long season ahead.
Result Prediction: Home win to Wolves @ 6/4 with Coral
Score Prediction: Wolves 2 Fulham 1 @ 8/1 with Coral
Good Luck Everyone & see you all next week.
