Premiership Predictions, Correct Score Football Tips for weekend beginning 29th August 2009

Hello everyone. Well last week was another fun packed football event. In terms of my predictions Arsenal did me proud. I predicted them to beat Portsmouth 4-0 and they duly won 4-1. I also correctly predicted that Chelsea would win at Fulham (two nil the final score) & Manchester United to win at Wigan. Big shock in that Michael Owen scored. Manchester City beat Wolves 1-0 & if it hadn't have been for the woodwork (or whatever the goals are made of now) then wolves would have helped me in my prediction of a 1-1 draw. Liverpool are getting found out and their 3-1 defeat was pure delight. If only I had had the courage to have predicted their defeat to Aston Villa instead of just a draw.

Onto to this weekend's games:

1. Bolton - Liverpool

Bolton have had a bad start as have Liverpool. Bolton's defeat at Hull last Saturday was a bad result. Hull will probably go down this season & if Bolton aren't careful then they will join them. Liverpool are in minor trouble. They have lost two games already & to be honest I can't see them doing as well as last season. They will, however, bounce back at Bolton. They have far too much in their locker for Bolton. This defeat could spell the beginning of the end of Gary Megson's spell at Bolton. An away win for Liverpool.

Away win to Liverpool @ 8/15 with bet365.

Score Prediction: Bolton 1 - Liverpool 3 @ 11/1 with bet365.

2. Chelsea - Burnley

Burnley have done well to beat both Manchester United & Everton in successive home games. Very Well. I think their recent luck will come undone at Stamford Bridge on Sat. Chelsea have done nothing so far to alter my prediction of them winning the Premiership this season & I expect them to continue that form with a relatively easy win against Burnley. The only question for me is how long it will take them to break Burnley down. An easy home win for the Blues.

Home win for Chelsea @ 1/7 with bet365.

Score Prediction: Chelsea 3 - Burnley 0 @ 13/2 with Coral

3. Manchester United - Arsenal

This is the big one for me. Will the Referee help Manchester as he has in previous seasons? We will see. Arsenal have started the better of the two but Manchester returned to form at Wigan last sat after their defeat the previous midweek to Burnley. Even thou Manchester will be without Rio at the back I still feel that they will win this one. The one thing Manchester have had in these fixtures over the years is luck & that I feel will play a part. Last season Arsenal took four points of Manchester in the league but lost heavily in the Champions league over two legs. A narrow home win to Manchester.

Home Victory for Manchester United @ 11/10 with Coral

Score Prediction: Manchester United 2 - Arsenal 1 @ 7/1 with Coral

4. Tottenham - Birmingham City

I have included a preview of Tottenham's game against Birmingham because of their fantastic start to the season. They have won all three league games as well as a five one thrashing of Doncaster in the league cup on Wednesday night. Spurs are playing good football which is more than can be said for Birmingham. They have yet to score a goal from open play in their three league games so far. They only goal being a late penalty against Portsmouth. No wonder their home gates are disappointing. With admission prices being high & a bad standard of football to boot it is little wonder that their average home gate so far is only around 20,000. The board should take note methinks. It would be good for football if Spurs were to win the title but of course they won't. Oh well, at least we will get Harry Rednaps constant running commentary throughout the season on Sky Sports News. Oh Joy. An easy home win for Spurs.

Home Victory for Spurs @ 2/5 with PartyBets.com

Score Prediction: 3-0 to Tottenham & Maybe Ossie's on his way to Wembley @ 9/1 with PartyBets.com

5. Portsmouth - Manchester City

An easy one on paper this one as Manchester City have won both their games & Portsmouth have lost both there's. City came close to messing up against Wolves on sat which was mainly down to their poor finishing. This nearly cost them dear as Wolves came close at the end to getting a late draw. I can see city winning but not by a big margin. Portsmouth are in freefall & their players are leaving. Crouch for example. Last time Portsmouth Struggled they had a saviour in Harry who came back and kept them up. This time that won't happen. An easy 2-0 away win for City.

Away win for Manchester City @ 4/7 with Coral

Score Prediction: 2-0 to Manchester City @ 11/2 with Coral

Good luck and see you next week.
