Wigan - Premiership
Everton v Wigan 11 Aug 15:00Wigan Could Come Unstuck At Toffees
August 11 sees the opening day for the new season in the English Premiership, with one game offering an early opportunity to cash in.
Everton look set to go into the new season with a squad that should be relatively little changed from last term, with Phil Jagielka being the one recruit of n ote to date (added to the confirmation of goalkeeper Tim Howard's permanent arrival from Manchester United). That level of familiarity should serve David Moyes' squad well over the course of the coming campaign and the Toffees should again be pushing for a top six finish next term.
By contrast, it looks set to be a very tough season for Wigan, with manager Paul Jewell having left and his successor, Chris Hutchings, finding it just as tough as his predecessor to attract quality players to the JJB Stadium.
Everton are never an easy team to beat at Goodison Park and with Titus Bramble set to start at the heart of the visiting defence, the likes of Andy Johnson will certainly fancy their chances of opening their personal accounts on the opeing day. Betfred, Free £50 Bet for a limited time, have quoted Everton at 8-11 for the match, which seems way out of line with other bookies and should be snapped up before they wise up and cut the price.
